Hazel received a Bachelor’s of Science in interior design from Appalachian State University. She is currently getting her master’s degree in technology with a concentration in sustainable design and construction at ASU and will graduate in May 2018. Carrie Gillispie Cox
Carrie graduated from High Point University with a Bachelor’s of Science in home furnishings and design. She currently works for Heritage Home Group as the director of showrooms.
Ethan graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in industrial and product design. He currently works as an industrial designer at Cree.
Coury Cunningham Stolarik
Coury received a BS in interior design from East Carolina University. She currently works for O’Brien/Atkins Associates, PA as an interior designer. Previously she was an interior designer at JDavis Architects, projectmanager/interior designer at Manning Design Group, Inc., and interior designer at HH Architecture and IA Interior Architects.
A senior at Kendall College of Art and Design in Michigan, Kendra is majoring in Furniture Design because it gives her the ability to bring good design to everyday objects, combining form and function to make something fresh and functional. In addition to studying furniture design, Kendra is also pursuing a major in metals and jewelry. In her free time she enjoys working with a new non-profit theater company, directing musicals and designing sets. She also works with students teaching music and choreography. After graduation, Kendra hopes to be a furniture designer working in a collaborative environment.
Skylar Davis Gallemore
Skylar graduated from High Point University with a BS in interior design. Skylar has worked for over five years at Fidelity Investments as a workplace guidance manager.
Will graduated from North Carolina State University where he majored in industrial engineering with a concentration in furniture manufacturing. After graduation, he joined Schneider Electric where he has worked in a number of sales roles. Will moved from Raleigh to Baton Rouge to Houston, where he sells process automation products and services to many market segments, ranging from water and wastewater to oil and gas. His hobbies still include being on the water or in the woods every chance he gets.
Jennifer Eller Hansen
Jennifer received a degree in interior design from High Point University. She has been working at Universal Furniture in High Point, NC since 2010 as an interior designer for their showroom as well as working with dealers throughout the country creating visual merchandising displays. She married her best friend, Erik, in 2013 and had twin boys in August 2016.
James graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in industrial design/furniture program. He teaches woodworking classes as an adjunct instructor at Western Piedmont Community College in Morganton, NC. James also works with the BRIDGE program through the North Carolina forestry service and WPCC, where he teaches inmates how to operate CNC machinery. James was recently awarded a two-year contract to design and oversee construction on kiosks that will accommodate a new trail system for mountain biking, running and walking on the WPCC campus. In addition, James found time to start his own company, The Twisted Chisel, a studio in a local woodworking business with his girlfriend and fellow scholar, Kasia Sweeny, where they create commissioned and one-off custom pieces of furniture.
Evan graduated from Kendall College of Art and Design with a BFA in furniture design. After graduation Evan worked under the Dutch designer Kiki can Eijk and Joost van Bleiswijk in The Netherlands as a product developer. In 2016 he graduated with a Master’s Degree in 3D Design from Cranbrook Academy of Art. Currently Evan is working to develop an independent design/build furniture studio (Evan Fay Design) based in Detroit, MI while continuing his role as fabrications coordinator at Cranbrook Academy of Art. Recent exhibitions of his work include Detroit Design Week (2015-2016) and Collective Design Fair NYC (2016). Upcoming exhibitions include the Interior Design Show Toronto (2017) and Salone Satellite together with Salone del Mobile Milano (2017). Some of Evan’s recent work has been featured in Interior Design Magazine, Fashion Times, Core77 and Curbed.
